Mrs. Sheila Watford and The Watford Family is thrilled to announce The Martha Lovie Watford Scholarship, a prestigious award dedicated to honoring the remarkable life and legacy of Martha Lovie Watford. This scholarship aims to recognize and support a high school female who embodies the qualities that Martha held dear: community service, kindness, generosity, a willingness to help others, a strong sense of family, and a passion for social services. The family is excited to empower a deserving young woman to continue making a positive impact in her community and beyond.

Remembering Martha Lovie Watford, Martha Lovie Watford was an extraordinary individual who dedicated her life to serving others. Her unwavering commitment to making a difference in her family and community was truly inspiring. She went above and beyond in her commitment to helping those in need, actively assisting individuals in finding employment opportunities, opening her home to those in need, and selflessly preparing meals for others, and caring for the elderly and sick. Martha's selflessness and genuine care for others left an indelible mark on everyone she encountered.  She operated in love and kindness and was a woman of great faith, quiet strength, and resolve.

We are looking for someone who actively engages in community service, demonstrating a deep understanding of the value of giving back. This individual should possess a kind and compassionate nature, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. Generosity should be at the core of her character, as she selflessly supports others without seeking recognition or reward. Moreover, we hope to find a young woman who has a strong sense of family and understands the importance of fostering meaningful connections within her community. The Denell E. Parker Transformational Leaders Scholarship

The Denell E. Parker Transformational Leaders Scholarship is a need-based merit scholarship that provides financial assistance to eligible high school female students for the purpose of tuition, books, and fees to one student. Mrs. Denell E. Parker, M.B.A. (a current Doctoral Student at Saint Leo University) is a staunch supporter of education. She annually provides scholarship awards to deserving young women who have been transformational leaders within their local communities in Maryland, Washington, DC, and Virginia who have an interest in obtaining a degree in business.

Mrs. Parker has an unwavering commitment to supporting education opportunities for inner-city and rural youth and provides scholarships to make it easier for deserving, motivated young ladies to pursue their goals and dreams. Mrs. Parker's mentorship stresses the importance of "transformational leadership" to develop future leaders who are change makers, are not afraid to take personal and business risks, are highly innovative, have the ability to inspire greater confidence in their followers, know how to lead by example, and who are not afraid to take on mentorship roles. She is pleased to formally provide an annual scholarship through the ABZ Dove Foundation.
