The ABZ Dove Foundation Executive Board is a body that serves on behalf of the ABZ Dove Foundation. The Board meets regularly throughout the year to discuss Foundation business. In the area of policy, the board carries out established Foundation policies and adopts interim public policy between Committee meetings for scholarship and community service projects. The Board elects the Executive Director and establishes annual budgets, among other duties. The Board also reviews and coordinates the recommendation of committees and defines and approves of policies and procedures relating to community service and other projects.
The ABZ Dove Foundation Executive Board is based in Newport News/Hampton, Virginia. Staff members support the Alpha Beta Zeta Chapter's mission to improve the health of women, children, and the elderly to provide a significant impact on their health and well-being.
Dr. Danielle N. May is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the ABZ Dove Foundation. Dr. May has over 30 years of experience in direct customer service management and support with recognized strengths in multi-million-dollar account and contract maintenance. Dr. May has experience in problem-solving as well as troubleshooting, operations and staff support, and planning/implementing proactive procedures. She has knowledge of management and program analysis technical rules, guidelines, regulations, and precedents and how they apply in the management process and strategic program projection studies. Dr. May has a proven ability to train, and motivate team members and is no stranger to delegation. She is task and results driven helping to keep our Executive Board on track and on task. Her leadership is invaluable to our Executive Board.
Dr. May is a retired Contracting Officer who previously served with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). She has a Doctorate of Business Administration and a Masters in Business Administration & Management from Saint Leo University, and a Bachelors of Business from Kansas State University,

Dr. Odessa Ochoa-Cavazos, PA-C is the Chair of the Executive Board for the ABZ Dove Foundation. She brings with her over ten years of patient care and healthcare administration experience focused on youth and expecting mothers in impoverished communities. Dr. Ochoa-Cavazos is currently a Physician Assistant in the field of mental health, psychiatry and addiction medicine for the past 12 years. She also serves as the Eastern Region Stork’s Nest (collaborative program between Zeta Phi Beta and March of Dimes) Coordinator for Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, and the Stork’s Nest Coordinator for the Alpha Beta Zeta Chapter, a position she has held since 2016.
Dr. Ochoa-Cavazos is a native of Trinidad and Tobago and holds a PhD in Public Health from Walden University; a Master’s of Physician Assistant Science from Seton Hill University; and Bachelor’s of Science in Biology & Community Health from Old Dominion University.

Debra J. Carroll (US Air Force Colonel Retired) is the Immediate Past President of the Alpha Beta Zeta Chapter and currently serves as the Secretary of the ABZ Dove Foundation. Col. Carroll believes in giving back and serving our communities. She is a past Chair of the Zetas Helping Others Excel (Z-HOPE) Commitee for the Alpha Beta Zeta Chapter, Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated's service program. She believes that giving back is a great way to get to know your community and its citizens, especially our seniors.
Col. Carroll is a Program Analyst for the Joint Staff J7 Joint Coalition Warfighting (JCW). She is leadership, vision, and customer focused with experience in Program Management, Multinational/Coalition Building, Curriculum Development; and Budget/Resource Planning and Execution. Col. Carroll has a Masters in Strategic Studies in Military Science from Air University, a Masters in Mathematics Education from Christopher Newport University, and a Bachelors in Mathematics; from Fayetteville State University.

Angela Taylor is the Treasurer for the ABZ Dove Foundation. She works closely with our Financial Secretary and Committee Chairs on program budgets as it relates to program management and financial reporting on program activities as they pertain to the ABZ Dove Foundation. The treasurer makes all the payments for expenses and makes sure we are following the governing documents as it pertains to federal law and regulations. She works diligently and is committed to paying great attention to detail to keep the ABZ Dove Foundation's plans, records and financial reporting up to date.

Stephanie Vassell is a finance professional with more than a decade of experience supporting complex operations, strategic planning, and organizational accountability. She currently serves as the Finance Lead for Amentum’s Tidewater Operations Division, CMOE Contract, at NASA Langley Research Center, where she manages financial workflows, supports budget execution, and ensures accurate, timely reporting for mission critical programs.
Stephanie brings her strengths in structure, clarity, and process improvement to the Foundation’s financial stewardship. She is committed to maintaining transparent records, strengthening internal controls, and supporting the chapter’s service‑driven initiatives.
Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Hampton University and a Master of Business Administration from ECPI University. She also serves as Chair of the Amentum Women’s Network, where she leads programs which support professional growth and community among women across the organization.
Known for her organization, attention to detail, and steady leadership style, Stephanie approaches every role with integrity and a genuine commitment to excellence. In her service to the Dove Foundation, she looks forward to contributing to meaningful, community‑focused work that reflects the principles of Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood, and Finer Womanhood.
With more than 20 years of experience in business education, Michele Williams brings a strong foundation in marketing, communication, and strategic outreach to her role as Marketing and Branding Director for the ABZ Dove Foundation. She currently serves as 1st Vice President of Alpha Beta Zeta Chapter. Michele is responsible for promoting the mission, activities, and purposes of the Foundation through effective and appropriate publicity methods. In collaboration with the Finance Committee, she supports initiatives that strengthen public awareness and encourage financial support for the Foundation. Her professional background enables her to communicate the Foundation’s goals with clarity and integrity while advancing its mission and long-term impact.
